Frenkel Topping’s annual London Deputy Day 2019 was a huge success thanks to a high profile speaker line up and chair Paul Lewis, host of BBC Radio 4’s Moneybox.

The longstanding champion of financial issues hosted the conference in May, which is a day dedicated to issues facing professional deputies when dealing with the financial affairs of the injured people they represent.
Paul also chaired the live Question Time event, a segment where journalists and guests quizzed a panel of experts on an array of topics.

Paul said: “I am delighted to host the Deputy Day Annual Conference.

“The financial challenges facing people who have suffered catastrophic injury are complex, and it is paramount to ensure that every individual receives the best possible settlement, both to meet their needs in the short term and to secure their financial future.”

The event is designed and run by Frenkel Topping, a national independent financial advisory firm which specialises in the areas of personal injury and clinical negligence.

Paul – who has also featured on BBC Radio 5’s Wake Up To Money, BBC One’s Rip Off Britain, and regularly contributes to BBC News – was joined by esteemed speakers from the judiciary and clinical negligence legal profession, including Senior Judge of the Court of Protection HHJ Carolyn Hilder, Paul Tregoning from the Office of the Public Guardian and leading barrister Ruth Hughes of 5 Stone Buildings.

Mark Holt of Frenkel Topping said: “Deputy Day is now one of the most well-established industry events in this sector, and to have someone like Paul on board is testament to its calibre. His knowledge of the financial sector is unmatched, and his advice on the day was hugely beneficial to attendees.”
