A HOST of tennis legends are promising to head back to Cheshire and Yorkshire this summer for the best networking garden party in the north.

Clique Events is promising three days of tennis at two stunning locations, networking and a ‘garden party’ that will be bigger than ever for this year’s Boodles Tennis at the Mere event and Berry’s Tennis Classic at Hazelwood Castle, Leeds.

Title sponsor Boodles will be returning to the home of their major summer get-together once again – more than a decade after the inaugural event – for three days of spectacular tennis from 19th – 21st June 2019. And Berry’s Tennis Classic is set to follow its hugely successful inaugural event in 2018 with an even bigger event this year, from June 26th – 28th.

Boodles Tennis at the Mere will be joined by associate sponsors Bentley, Myersons, Praetura Commercial Finance, The Business Desk and Sedulo. Clique Events have also signed up St James’ Place Wealth Management, Bentley, Sedulo, The Business Desk, Club Individual as associate sponsors of this year’s Berry’s Tennis Classic event.

The field of players at this year’s events include a cast-list of tennis legends like men’s tennis veterans Richard Krajicek and Xavier Malisse along with a couple of exciting new additions to the list such as Mikael Pernfors, Barbara Schett, Asa Svensson, Thomas Enqvist and Wayne Ferreira.

Corporate table sales are available, as usual, direct from event owners Clique.

The 2019 event will be the seventh consecutive year Boodles Tennis has been held at The Mere and, this year the event will be raising cash for the Matt Haycox Foundation charity – a children’s charity which aims to provide financial support to the lives of seriously and terminally ill children and their families. The Berry’s Tennis Classic Event is in its second year and has already added an extra day to the festivities – this year’s event lasting three days.

Clique Events spokesman, Matt Haycox, said: “We are really excited about this year’s Boodles Tennis at the Mere and Berry’s Tennis Classic events. We’ve some fantastic names taking part, a ‘who’s who’ list of sponsors and we’re expecting to beat the record attendances of last year when we launch this summer.”
