GVA student wins Women in Property award
A Bilfinger GVA student has won a national property award celebrating women in the industry, beating 86 other nominees to the top spot.
Yasmine Lunn, who completed a work placement with Bilfinger GVA Manchester’s Valuations team, said she was ‘absolutely thrilled’ to be honoured with the Women in Property National Student Award at the Claridge’s Hotel ceremony in London.
The BsC Real Estate undergraduate student at Sheffield Hallam carried out work experience at Bilfinger GVA getting involved in all aspects of work with the valuations team.
To win the award she underwent a series of interviews from a panel of property experts on a variety of topics including Brexit, the state of the market and industry diversity.
The 20-year-old said: “I was nominated by the university as a young ambassador for women in the industry.
“I was absolutely thrilled to make the top 10 at the final, and even more so to go on to win the award, the whole event was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
“My time at Bilfinger GVA helped cement my knowledge gained during my degree and put it to practical use.”

The Association of Women in Property is working with businesses and other industry organisations to help redress the gender balance in the property and construction industry. They provide a dynamic forum for women in the sector as well as encouraging and nurturing aspiring talent in schools and universities.
