An exclusive development of town houses in Alderley Edge has helped plug the gap for high quality, family-sized homes in the popular Cheshire village.

Luxury housebuilder PH Homes found demand for the six homes it has built in Kensington Gardens has outstripped the supply of the contemporary four bedroom homes.

As soon as building work got underway, this popular development proved to be a huge hit with buyers as homes were snapped up, with one buyer reserving a plot before the first brick was laid.

Located off Lynton Lane and within walking distance of the village centre, local schools and cafes and bars, the six houses provide the perfect home for people looking to combine family and village life.

One satisfied buyer is Dermot Collins, who spotted his new home while he was out running and bought the house off plan.

At this stage PH Homes had only just started work on the site. However, Dermot was a return buyer, having owned a PH Homes property before, and was blown away by the quality of the build and the interior.

Dermot, founder of Seven V and a master sales trainer, said: “The fact that PH Homes was building Kensington Gardens led me to reserve a plot straight away.

“I’ve lived in a house built by them before and their build quality is fantastic. Their developments are always in a great location and I knew I would end up with an exceptional home.

“My partner and I were living in a flat in the village and with a baby on the way we were looking for a good sized family home where we could live with my step daughter and where my children could come and stay.

“I really didn’t want to move from the village, so when I saw the hoardings up for Kensington Gardens I had a look at the plans and reserved one of the houses.”

Dermot and his family moved into Kensington Gardens in February and have transformed the four bedroom townhouse into a vibrant family home.

He added: “Now that we are living here we have found that the space and layout really works well for us as a family. We have a fabulous open plan kitchen, dining and family area which leads straight on to the garden.

“As well as having the family zone where we all come together, we also have our own defined space – for me it’s the study and for the kids they have the two bedrooms upstairs.”

Experts in building exclusive developments of executive style homes and apartments with distinction, PH Homes is currently building in the Cheshire villages of Prestbury, Henbury, Nether Alderley and Bowdon.

Work is also underway at Hayescroft in Didsbury, an exclusive development of 17 detached and semi-detached family homes on a private 7.7 acre site.

Philip Hughes, managing director of PH Homes, said: “All our homes are in high quality residential locations, are extremely well designed and are extremely popular with buyers.

“In fact, like Dermot, we often find that once someone has owned one of our properties they often buy with us again when they are looking for a bigger home or looking to downsize.

“Our target areas for development are south Manchester and north Cheshire. We build a full range of house types, from apartments to townhouses and mews to large detached homes typically valued between £500,000 and £2 million.”

PH Homes is currently on site with eight developments, building over 60 homes and apartments and works closely with land agents to source quality development opportunities.
