BILFINGER GVA has bolstered its hotels and leisure team with the recruitment of a highly experienced property director to join the Manchester team.

Joining from Christie & Co, having spent 15 years with the company, the 48-year-old brings extensive knowledge to the role of Director of Hotels and Leisure.
Bilfinger GVA already has one of the strongest retail, hotels and leisure offers in the market and Martin’s appointment follows several high profile recruitments over the past year or so.
Martin said: “I am very proud and excited about the marvellous opportunity that Bilfinger GVA has given me in this exciting role.

“I am looking forward to contributing to Bilfinger GVA’s significant increase in the market share in these fast growing sectors.”
Gavin Brent, Managing Director of Retail, Hotels and Leisure for Bilfinger GVA, said: “We are delighted that Martin is joining us. He has more than 30 years property-related experience and is highly regarded in the hotels and leisure sector.
“He will add significantly to the high profile recruitments made in the hotels department during the last year and will be instrumental in enabling us to acquire further market share in the regions in particular.”
Martin’s career started in the residential sector where he gained extensive transactional experience in both the Kent and Central London markets with Ward & Partners and Daniel Smith (now trading as Cluttons).

Since then, he has worked with many big names in the hotel and licensed leisure industry and regularly provides advice to banks, accountants, insolvency practitioners, solicitors, regional multiple operators and individual hoteliers.
During the last nine years he has been involved in a number of high level transactions based at Christie & Co’s Manchester office where he has specialised in the licensed leisure, hospitality and hotel sectors – providing advice and business brokerage services across the North West.
