REGENERATION specialist St. Modwen has signed-up B&M Retail Ltd to its £150 million ‘Project Jennifer’ scheme on Great Homer Street in Liverpool.

Speke based B&M was formed in 1978 and is one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers. The brand now operates more than 500 stores and employs some 22,500 staff nationwide.

B&M will be opening one of its larger store formats which will incorporate a garden centre when it launches in spring 2017, creating more than 60 jobs for local people in a welcome boost to the local economy.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded products including toys, food & drink, pet products, health & beauty and electricals in their new store. The store will also boast an extensive DIY, decorating and furniture range, and garden equipment.

The store forms part of the new District Centre currently under development by St. Modwen in partnership with Liverpool City Council and construction is due to start in September.

“We are currently in detailed discussions with other potential occupiers and we are looking forward to making further announcements about other occupiers in the future.”

Liverpool based Hitchcock Wright and Colliers are joint agents on the scheme and are currently marketing the remaining new retail space which is available across four additional units.
