Stars and Cheshire set turn out for the inaugural Tatton Social event
Tatton Social kicked off yesterday with its inaugural event, bringing families from across Cheshire and Greater Manchester together for the first socially-distanced event of the summer season.
Staged at Ashley Hall, the estate opened its rolling grounds for the first time to the public yesterday with over 200 guests attending from across the region.
The event organised in partnership with renowned event planner Liz Taylor brought a curated selection of food trucks, including fish and chips, candyfloss, and popcorn, to the estate, and a double-decker bus which provides guests with wines, beers, and a selection of summer tipples.
Actress Cath Tyldesley attended Tatton Social alongside her family.
Henry Brooks of Tatton Estates said: “We are extremely proud of the first Tatton Social event, and it was great to see so many people enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Ashley Hall for a family fun day out.
“Following a long period of lockdown, we wanted to throw open our doors and ensure that Cheshire and Greater Manchester residents could still enjoy the summer social season that the region is so known and loved for – albeit in a safe, socially-distanced fashion.
“We hope Tatton Social will become a firm fixture on the Cheshire calendar and look forward to continuing on with the concept.”
Tatton Social was the brainchild of Liz Taylor and was launched via newly formed Liz Taylor Consultancy with support from her events company Taylor Lynn Corporation bringing over thirty years of experience to the event. Forthcoming projects include a Halloween event and a Bonfire Evening event scheduled for November 6th together with exclusive use opportunities.
The extensive grounds played host to families and friends with entertainment including DJs, tarot card readers, an array of fairground rides, and walks in the Cheshire countryside which were pre-mapped out for guests.
Henry added: “I would like to thank all of our guests for making this first event such a success.”
The event will be returning every Sunday throughout summer between 11am-4pm and will be followed by a Halloween event on 31 October as well as a special bonfire night edition on 6 November 2020.
