The Green Treehouse craft and community café links up with Business Doctors to create charity growth strategy
Business Doctors has helped The Green Treehouse to create a growth strategy and financial modelling through a skills sharing partnership set up by Cheshire Connect.
The Green Treehouse is a craft and community café in its infancy as a charity.
Business advice consultancy Business Doctors helped the charity to create a strategic plan which will enable them to secure funding. They also helped The Green Treehouse to acquire new premises.
Once the project is fully up and running, different leisure activities will be run for different community groups along with a café, which will generate income as a community outreach project.
Business Doctors generated a business overview for the charity with a three to five year strategy plus immediate 12 month critical activities.
Kevin Cook of Business Doctors said: “I first heard about Cheshire Connect at an East Cheshire Chamber business briefing and was keen to get involved.
“One of my areas of expertise is property so I was able to provide lots of practical support to The Green Treehouse in their search.
“It is terrific to give my time to a charitable cause. It is extremely fulfilling to see The Green Treehouse achieve a major milestone as it establishes its services to the local community.”
Amanda Beech, chairman of the Green Treehouse said: “To have access to a business professional to give the charity the means to go forward with a business plan and guidance has been fantastic, enabling the first step of the successful development of the charity. From here we shall move forward to deliver our core goals to the local community.”
The evidence of a successful programme provided by The Green Treehouse in conjunction with business doctors will secure future funding so that the charity can continue its work in Biddulph and surrounding areas including Congleton.
